Responsibilities

  • Design, develop, and debug real-time embedded firmware for IoT systems, including gateways, lighting control, and environmental monitoring and control solutions.
  • Maintain and improve firmware for existing Linux/RTOS-based devices.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with BSP, HW, ID, Backend, Mobile, FE, PM and PA team  to deliver high-quality products.
  • Document software architecture, tuning methods, and test results.
  • Perform code reviews, ensuring best practices in coding standards.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams in product planning and development.
  • Participate in troubleshooting and root-cause analysis for firmware issues.


Requirement

  • Strong knowledge of networking fundamentals and protocols like TCP/IP (IPv4 and IPv6) networking, socket programming, and have experience with higher-level communication protocols such as HTTP, WebSockets, or MQTT used in IoT systems.
  • Experience developing firmware in a Real-Time Operating System (RTOS) environment (such as FreeRTOS or similar) is required
  • A genuine passion for embedded software development.
  • A team player, who is very self-motivated, loves difficult challenges, and is goal driven.
  • Strong communication skills, able to work both solo and in teams.
  • Proficient in C/C++ programming in embedded environments with RTOS.
  • Familiarity with Git version control.


Preferred Qualifications

  • Familiarity with emerging standards like Matter for IoT interoperability is highly desirable.
  • Experience with Ethernet, Wi-Fi, BLE, or Thread communication protocols.
  • Experience with UART, SPI, I2C buses, GPIO control, ADC/DAC, etc., to interface with sensors, radios, and other hardware components.
  • Experience with BLE, Thread, LoRaWAN, LE Audio stacks on MCUs.
  • Experience with the CoAP in constrained embedded environments.
  • Experience with optimizing firmware for low power consumption on battery-operated devices.
  • Experience with development boards such as Raspberry Pi, BeagleBoard, ESP32.
  • Experience with build root such as OpenWRT/BuildRoot/Yocto.
  • Skilled at defining and implementing custom communication protocols for heterogeneous systems.
