  • Diagnose complex control-plane and data-plane issues using logs, packet captures, hardware counters, tracing, and profiling tools.

Requirements:

  • 3+ years of embedded software development experience using C or C++;
  • Strong understanding of Linux internals, including processes, memory management, networking, netlink, and event-driven I/O;
  • Strong knowledge of Ethernet switching and networking fundamentals, including Layer 2, Layer 3, VLANs, bridging, multicast, and routing;
  • Experience developing Linux-based firmware, platform services, system daemons, or networking applications;
  • Experience with Git, Bash, cross-compilation, toolchains, and embedded build systems such as OpenWrt, Buildroot, or Linux From Scratch.
  • Experience with AI tools - Claude, Codex, etc;
  • Fluent in English and Lithuanian.

Nice to have:

  • Experience with routing software such as FRRouting or Quagga;
  • Understanding of data-plane processing, hardware offloading, packet pipelines, and performance optimization;
  • Experience with Broadcom SDKs, Intel/Barefoot Tofino, P4, or comparable switching silicon and frameworks;
  • Experience developing data-center, enterprise, or carrier-grade Ethernet switches;
  • Experience with BSP development, Linux device drivers, bootloaders, or hardware abstraction layers;
  • Ability to contribute to system and software architecture across multiple product areas.

Benefits:

  • International work environment and work with global development teams;
  • Ability to deliver software that is used by millions of people across the globe;
  • Opportunity to leverage and integrate modern AI tools into product development;
  • Access to all Ubiquiti products;
  • Medical insurance;
  • Hybrid approach - office in Kaunas;
  • Flexible work hours;
  • Compensation package matching global standards, including competitive salary depending on your qualification and background (starting from 3000 up to 7000 Euro gross monthly);
  • A-class office with all the necessities - snacks, drinks, free lunches, free parking, etc!
