Responsibilities

As an EE Engineer on the Access team, you will be responsible for the electrical design of consumer electronic products, such as door access readers/HUBs, wireless sensors, lighting controllers, and smart locks. We are looking for candidates who thrive in a fast-paced, start-up-like environment. In this role, you will own end-to-end EE hardware development, from system architecture and circuit design to board design, validation, and production readiness. Success in this role requires strong ownership, attention to detail, and a high standard of accountability.

  • Own product architecture definition, electrical design, and system integration from concept to production.
  • Lead and review PCB layout and electrical simulation activities.
  • Plan and execute design validation, including functional verification, signal characterization, power analysis, and system coexistence testing.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve hardware issues throughout development and prototype builds.
  • Support mass production by defining factory test requirements and assisting in system bring-up.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with ID, BSP, ME, FW, and DQA teams to deliver high-quality products.
  • Drive continuous improvements in performance, reliability, and scalability.

Requirement

  • Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field
  • 2+ years of hands-on experience in consumer electronics or embedded system design, including prototyping, bring-up, debugging, validation, and NPI support; experience with DFx (Design for Cost, Test, Manufacturing)
  • Experience with Cadence OrCAD, Allegro, PADS, or equivalent tools
  • Experience in one or more of the following areas: SoCs/MCUs, power management, signal integrity, analog/RF design
  • Knowledge of power design, including PoE, DC/DC converters
  • Experience in low-power design and optimization for battery-operated devices
  • Knowledge of digital and analog circuit design, including high-speed interfaces
  • Familiarity with communication protocols such as I2C, UART, SPI, Ethernet, and USB
  • Knowledge of designing for ESD, EMI, and RF desensitization
  • Hands-on lab experience (e.g., soldering, oscilloscopes, data acquisition)
  • Strong teamwork and communication skills

Preferred Qualifications

  • Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field
  • Experience with high-speed digital interfaces such as PCIe, DDR3/4, MIPI, and LVDS
  • Experience with analog and low-power design, audio/acoustics, and RF technologies (e.g., Wi-Fi, BLE, Zigbee, NFC)
  • Experience with sensor characterization (e.g., light, ToF, temperature, radar, G-sensor, UWB)
