Responsibilities

• Design Stamping stage die & progressive tooling by CAD software independently.
• Define tooling specification and initial tool design before RFQ.
• Provide the suggestion to the Mechanical Designer to de-risk from a tooling perspective before the tooling kick-off.
• Review DFM to identify potential risks related to cosmetic, assembly, dimensional, and molding issues with vendors.
• Resolve tooling issues to minimize design changes and moderate the impact on the schedule.
• Build up lessons learnt and mold a trial database for the project development of the new generation.
• Drive new technologies of tooling and molding to optimize our projects.
• Provide the assessment of each tooling vendor quarterly.
• Familiar with the characteristics of sheet metal materials and assist in material selection.
• Prepare and submit the golden sample approval process

Requirement

• College degree or above
• Minimum 10 years of tooling fabrication, fitter, EDM, wire-cutting, Assembly, and in-house manufacturing.
• 5 years of tooling design by using CAD software independently.
• Proficient knowledge of trial runs on processing parameters and fine-tuning.
• Familiar with characteristics of stamping machines and strong tool trial skills, need to identify the issues and set up the tool trial parameters to provide the solutions online.
• Excellent communication skills among cross-functional teams to enhance work efficiency.
