Role Summary
As a Design Quality Assurance Engineer(SI/PI) you will work within the Hardware & Firmware Design team. This will be a hands-on position to support all design validation and reliability aspects of design, development, and transfer to manufacturing. You will drive system validation activities for new product development, to implement design changes for sustaining products, to resolve technical issues for the manufacturing process, and to perform failure analysis for field returned products.


Responsibilities

  • Develop SI & PI measurement plan and execute measurement to generate SI/PI test reports.
  • Collaborate with PM/EE/FW/SW to solve SI/PI issues.
  • Develop test plans and execute tests according to the test plans to generate test reports during EVT/DVT builds. ex. ESD, High/Low temperature function test, etc.
  • Try to reproduce the customer’s issues and record the results for further analysis
  • Develop an automatic test bench for long-term stress tests
  • Develop and maintain test environments to ensure enough test coverage and speed up testing.

Minimum Qualifications

  • BS or MS in Engineering or related field
  • Minimum 3 years of working in hardware design or testing experience on power(PoE, Battery, Adapter), sensors(Touch LCM, ALS, Proximity, ToF, IR or mmWave), or wireless(WIFI, BT).
  • Familiar with test equipment, e.g,. DC/AC power source, Multi-meter, Oscilloscope, DC loader, Power meter, Environment chamber…etc. 
  • Familiar with the Signal Integrity of low-speed interfaces such as I2C, SPI, UART, MIPI-LP, Ethernet MDI, etc.
  • Familiar with Power Integrity, such as power sequence, ripple, efficiency, accuracy, line regulation, load regulation, dynamic response, etc.
  • Familiar with shell scripts and the command line on Linux or Android.
  • Good communication skills, Ex. Negotiation with PM/EE/FW engineers

Preferred Qualifications

  • Familiar with PCB layout for power, high-speed signal, analog signal, and RF signal.
  • Familiar with the SI of high-speed signals such as DDR memory, USB, MIPI-HS, PCIE, SFI
  • Love to try and play with new technology
